Through our professional expertise and perseverance Lane Engineering Consulting's primary objective is to relieve building management of many of the burdens that coincide with managing buildings in the New York City metropolitan area. We interface with the Department of Buildings, Landmarks Preservation Commission, BEST, Department of Transportation, Transit, Expediters, Asbestos Investigators, and Site Safety personnel, and use our specialist knowledge to deliver extraordinary outcomes for our clients across the full life cycle of a project, from concept to completion. We are structured to provide expertise in a number of specialized areas, including structural analysis of buildings and subsystems, window systems analysis, and the selection and recommendation of replacement window systems. We are equipped to perform problem analysis of plumbing and heating systems, boilers, elevators and electrical systems. Individuals specializing in the particular disciplines required are associated with the company and are available as necessary in order to bring superior expertise to bear in the solution of mechanical system problems.
We perform Local Law 10/11 inspections, including filing of the necessary reports with the New York City Department of Buildings. Some of our diverse projects have included structural analysis of interior glass partition systems, including failure analysis under stasis and dynamic-loading conditions; analysis of contractor's proposals for conversion and repair of large central absorption air conditioning plants, and structural and airborne noise and vibration analysis.
The company has prepared specifications for exterior restoration of several Landmark-designated and historic district buildings. We have also provided inspection services during the restoration of these structures. These include projects at Gainsborough Studios on Central Park South, The Dakota, the Sofia and 131 East 66th Street.
Our services also extend to areas outside the five boroughs, such as Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, Nassua & Suffolk counties, as well as many areas of Connecticut and New Jersey.
